Spring on the Vineyard
Spring is the season of renewal. The days start to get longer and temperatures start to rise. The vineyard slowly begins to wake up and show its beauty. The flowers start to bloom and greenhouse, full from the winter planting, is overflowing. The lavender cuttings have rooted and are starting to grow. They will be moved outdoors in April to join the other beautiful lavender plants. The gardens are being readied for new plantings once the soil is warm enough. The bulbs are getting ready to flower. We are finishing up the pruning of the vines and they should see bud break by the end of the month. The Sandhill Cranes are returning back north for the season. However, the hummingbirds should be arriving to take their place. We are surrounded by beauty!
