Harvest Hootenanny 2019
As we are nearing the end of 2019 season, it is time to stop and reflect on the season, and Party! Here at RLV, we call this party the “Harvest Hootenanny” and it is a HOOT!! Year after year, I am so excited for this event.
I look forward to seeing all the regulars, and meeting all the newcomers. People who venture to RLV from all over the state and country. Some stay for one night and some for longer. It is such a great, relaxing way to appreciate the beauty of Willcox, RLV and Arizona wines.
Many of the newcomers have never been to SE Arizona and are amazed by the landscapes and all there is to offer. I can’t tell you haw many times I hear “I had no idea this was here.” We are elated to be ambassadors for our region. Being an Arizona native, I am always thrilled to introduce people to all AZ has to offer.
Having said that, let’s talk about wines. This year we had three of our wonderful customers pouring their wines from the region and from RLV: Callaghan Vineyard, Sand Reckoner, and Rune. Three of my favorites(I am a little biased.) We are so thankful they were all able to participate. Hopefully everyone had an opportunity to sample all the wines. If not, I know where to find more, just ask.
The food was amazing. Chef Rayna from Che made her famous brisket. So yummy. All the food is sourced locally or is even out of our garden. Local first are words we try to live by.
Finally, the band. Niam Amore was here for the fifth year. As always, they were awesome. I know for a fact people come just to hear them. I do. Their sound just makes me relax and feel like I am in Paris, at a bistro, sipping AZ wine. We had a photographer this year so we are posting some of her photos. Please check them out.
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and we look forward to seeing you next year. May the rest of 2019 be wonderful for you.
